Job requirements

This individual should be a highly organized initiative-taker able to work both individually and as a team. This role will interact regularly with the accounting team as well as provide support to all departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions related to accounts payable.

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.

  • Procures ad-hoc reports as requested.

  • Assists with external audits by providing all requested information for auditors.

  • Assist with sales and use tax filing & property tax declarations.

  • Reconciliation Experience a must (accruals, prepaids, other liabilities)

  • Other duties as assigned by Asst. Cont.

  • Provide support to Accounting Mgr. with month end close & daily tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Education

  • B.S. in Accounting preferred or Finance.

  • 1-3 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • ERP System experience a PLUS

  • Strong knowledge of G/L reconciliations, journal entries & month end close.

  • Experience with accounts payable three way matching

  • Ability to follow through tacks to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Have the capacity to multitask in a challenging environment.

  • Strong Excel skills, (pivot table, VLOOKUPS, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Must be flexible w/schedule working 40+ hours during busy times.
