Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing requirements in a effective and timely manner
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, G/L accounts review and G/L account reconciliations
  • Prepare required quarterly and year end work papers in order to provide analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts for the quarterly and annual audits
  • Prepare and analyze various financial reports for upper management
  • Prepare internal and external financial statements, footnotes and commentary regarding variance analysis by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
  • Prepare financial reporting and analyses for production companies
  • Responsible for research and compiling data to ensure sales and use tax is booked correctly
  • Participate in the physical inventory counts as an internal auditor
  • Responsible for compiling all W-9’s and preparing and sending out all 1099’s and 1096’s
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
  • Answer financial questions by researching data and assigning coding for transactions
  • Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directed

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0 – 2 years G/L or staff accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Must be a detailed oriented person with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to manage and perform effectively in a highly stressful fast pace environment
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external departments as required
