Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for many aspects of the month-end close for one or more of the RAA’s divisions. In addition, the Staff Accountant will assist in the monthly close process, accounting for our eCommerce business and other general accounting functions. This position reports to the Manager of Accounting.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Preparing journal entries for the monthly accounting close
  • Preparing or assisting with preparing monthly financial statements reviews
  • Assisting in divisional reporting and analysis
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Assist in external audits, including the year-end audit process

Education/License Requirements:

  • Required: bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Required: 1-3 years of experience working in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred: Retail/Wholesale company experience and/or public accounting experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud, ABS, or related ERP and BI software
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and work collaboratively with interdepartmental teams to achieve desired results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
