POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly close, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, reconciling accounts, and supervising junior staff for a multi-company environment. This position will support Assistant Controller by managing and overseeing accounting functions, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. The Senior Accountant must be dependable, have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist with month end close.
· Review and approve journal entries.
· Supervise, train and mentor staff accountants
· Assist with annual audit preparations and resolve audit findings
· Accurately calculate, track, and process commissions, along with financial reporting and analysis related to those payments.
· Prepare and book payroll entries
· Assist in the reporting of financial results and variances.
· Prepare and maintain various weekly/monthly reports.
· Assist in documentation and monitoring of best accounting practice.
· Perform special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and other tasks as assigned.
· Research and resolve accounting issues.
· Prepare account reconciliation.
· Other duties as assigned by Manager.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Proficient in MS Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups.
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams).
· In-depth understanding of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
· Analyzing complex financial information, interpreting accounting standards, and proactively addressing potential issues in a dynamic environment
· Prioritize and manage multiple tasks related to month-end closing, ensuring timely completion of all required tasks.
· Ability to speak and read English.
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:
· Experience with ERP accounting systems, NetSuite Highly Preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
· 3-5 years experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing
