About This Position
The Implementation Services Engineer role is a technical lead, principally responsible for the deployment of Grypho5’s Managed Security Solutions. This role reports to the Director of Implementation Services and is 100% remote with a potential requirement to travel to client locations when necessary and if applicable (subject to availability).
An ideal candidate will be able to:
- Lead technical design and architectural workshops
- Deploy and configure complex technical solutions using Conversant Group’s internal specifications, documentation, and best practices, with minimal supervision
- Resolve implementation issues with a combination of skills, experience, vendor support, and internal consultations
- Maintain an exhaustive understanding of Conversant Group’s products and solutions
- Create and maintain implementation documentation leveraging Conversant Group’s security standards
- Maintain and exhaustive understanding about the products and services that will be implemented
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Conversant Group’s product and service solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client-facing technical architecture and design workshops
- Implement complex technical security solutions with minimal supervision
- Resolve implementation-related technical issues
- Work closely with Project Managers on defining task details, timelines, status updates, and working within project scope
- Understand project scope definition, validation, and deployment of services
- Assist the Managed Services Team in handling client tickets and promoting problem solving when required
- Maintain an exhaustive understanding of the Technical Directives for Conversant Group’s product and service offerings
- Act as an SME for Conversant Group’s managed security solutions portfolio
- Maintain select vendor technical certifications
- Provide client education for deployed solutions
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and vendors to help with the successful deployment of security solutions
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in the design, configuration, implementation, and documentation of Security Solutions, with a strong focus on perimeter security (firewalls/IDS/IPS) and networking (route/switch)
- Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities regarding security-related products and services (Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Strong background in converting intricate installations into repeatable, actionable procedures and standards
- Desire to become more knowledgeable about the Conversant Group's range of products and services in connection with the deployment of managed security solutions
- Team-oriented, "can do" mentality, and readiness to lend a hand and seek assistance when needed
- Ability to balance conflicting goals, such as scheduling intricate technical tasks for several clients at once, managing calendar activities and priorities, and keeping a fully utilized work schedule
- Effectively communicates in any form or medium
- Knowledgeable about Managed Services and IT best practices, with expertise in putting Information Security Principles into practice.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of managed services support engineering and/or architectural design and implementation services engineering
- 5+ years of security product experience implementing and supporting on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based security solutions such as Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco and Microsoft
- Service delivery in a Managed Services / Professional Services organization highly desired
- Expert knowledge and understanding of firewall /routing /switching, VPN technologies highly desired
- Industry certifications in Fortinet, Check Point and Palo Alto highly desired
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft and VMWare platforms desired
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent work history
- Experience working for and within IT for the legal industry is a plus
