The Human Resources Operations Manager (HROM) supports the Senior Director of Human Resources (SDHR) by supervising the HR department’s day-to-day administrative tasks as designated, primarily focusing on overseeing pre-/post-onboarding, compensation, compliance, and HR data integrity. In partnership with Talent Acquisition and internal stakeholders, the HROM provides leadership and guidance to HR team members to ensure a seamless, respectful, and compliant employee experience. That aligns with Everstand’s values and regulatory standards, collectively driving process improvement, fairness, and opportunity across HR services that advance Everstand’s mission and operational excellence.

What does this job do specifically?


Essential Functions: 


Leadership

Talent Operations 

  • Lead the design and execution of scalable, compliant onboarding workflows that deliver a consistent and engaging new hire experience, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational culture.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance HR operations by identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, and digital transformation across all functional areas, aligning systems and workflows with organizational needs.
  • Supervise the Onboarding Specialist to manage status changes, background checks, drug screens, and orientation logistics, and report any issues that arise to SDHR.
  • Monitor and report on key HR performance indicators (KPIs), including time-to-onboard Onboarding Task Completion Rate, Compliance Completion Rate, and New Hire Retention (30/60/90-Day).
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance on compliance, compensation, and pre-employment processes. 
    Compensation and Benefits
  • Partner with the Compensation Specialist to ensure compensation processes, including salary adjustments, wage structure maintenance, and approvals, are done effectively while following regulatory and Everstand’s guidelines.
  • Support the SDHR with the management of external brokers and carriers, including health, dental, vision, FSA, 403(b), life, STD/LTD, and retirement health insurance plans.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, benefits orientation, and support enrollment periods (including Open Enrollment planning). 
    Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure HR practices meet all legal, licensing, and internal policy standards.
  • Track and assist with the timely completion of HR audits, corrective actions, licensing reviews, and compliance reports (OLM, CJAMS, CHRC, EEO-1, etc.).
  • Create and distribute standard and ad hoc HRIS reports using ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS (TBD).
  • Proactively support internal stakeholders with timely reporting, clear communication, and responsive HR service delivery. 
    HR Systems and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and physical files following regulatory and Everstand’s guidelines.
  • Support the ongoing evaluation and optimization of HR workflows and system usage to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist with processing status change forms, separation notices, and unemployment documentation. 
    Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Supervise and mentor HR staff in areas of onboarding (pre/post), compensation, and compliance.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the SDHR on strategy implementation and workforce planning.
  • Represent HR in regional staff meetings and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Act as a backup to the SDHR and other team members during absences. 


Required Education and Experience 


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. 
    Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong emphasis on benefits, compensation, onboarding, and compliance. 
    • Preferred Certification and Experience 
      •    PHR or SHRM-CP strongly preferred 
      •    Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in HR operations and employee relations. 
      •    Experience using ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS. 
      •    Experience upgrading or migrating to a new HRIS. 
      •    Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
      •    Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with discretion in a fast-paced environment.
