As a Network Engineer on our team, you will work with U. S. Navy personnel to assist in migrating data to temporary networks built by you. Our team supports continuity of day-to-day operations while US Navy ships are undergoing extended periods of maintenance and upgrades.

Additionally, act as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Tech is responsible for training operators within the organization, operate and maintain the ACAS solution, and support network and application scanning as well as configuration assessments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and evaluates network systems and communications. Troubleshoots the network issues with diverse scope.
  • Assists network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. 
  • Assists in the installation and maintenance of network communications
  • Configures various network devices and services.
  • Troubleshoots the network issues within established guidelines.
  • ACAS- identify the target system, network, and/or IP ranges needed for the scan. This also includes collecting IP addresses, domain names, network configurations, and assistance with credentials required to authenticate scans. The technician will understand how to configure the Nessus scan policies and meet all required deliverables within the designated timeline, as required/assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering or its equivalent
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Internet, computer, routers, switches, firewall, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, servers, and printers
  • Hold active clearance or eligible or clearance 
  • Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure
  • Time management 
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
  • Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology
