Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls (specifically Fortinet), and other network devices.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the network supports the organization’s needs.
  • Conduct network assessments, identify issues, and develop solutions to improve network performance and availability.
  • Provide guidance and support to other IT team members on network-related issues.
  • Manage network security by implementing best practices, monitoring network activity, and recommending and implementing security measures, with a focus on Fortinet firewalls.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot network-related issues, including cabling and connectivity problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with network equipment from multiple vendors.
  • Understanding of network security principles and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
