As a key member of our team, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our network environment while driving efficiency through automation and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support traditional network infrastructure (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Design, implement, and support cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against threats.
  • Manage and optimize network storage solutions.
  • Conduct WLAN surveys using Ekahau and provide recommendations for optimal wireless network performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new network technologies and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate network operations and workflows using vendor tools, Ansible, and other automation frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for network configurations and deployments.
  • Document network designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to junior network engineers.
  • Other duties as required.

Key Attributes:

  • Inquisitive Mindset: You are naturally curious and passionate about exploring new networking technologies, automation techniques, and industry best practices. You enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest trends and are not afraid to ask questions.
  • Creative Problem Solver: You approach network challenges with creativity, persistence, and a focus on finding innovative and sustainable solutions. You are not satisfied with "quick fixes" and strive for automation and long-term efficiency.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies. You are comfortable working with a variety of vendors and platforms and are willing to "figure out new products on the fly."
  • Effective Communication: You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are also an active listener and collaborator.
  • Keen Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in network configurations, documentation, and troubleshooting.

What You Will Bring:

  • Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of networking principles and practices, with proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure.
  • Experience with traditional networking technologies (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers).
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud providers).
  • Experience with network security best practices.
  • Experience with WLAN surveys using Ekahau.
  • A strong preference for automating network tasks and a proven ability to implement automation solutions using various tools and scripting languages.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, etc.).
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with InfiniBand networking.
  • Experience with various network infrastructure vendors and platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5, or similar).
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, or equivalent).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
