This position supports and maintains infrastructure, telecommunications, and electronic systems used by MidAmerica St. Louis Airport employees, tenants, businesses, and patrons.
Essential Functions, Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Implementation, operation, and maintenance of networks including LAN, WAN and Wireless
Oversee Network Security, firewalls, VPNs, and network protection technologies
Investigate network issues and blackouts, work with network designers on network enhancement
Provide instruction and training on equipment features, and application, to user base
Resolve trouble tickets for both hardware and software issues.
Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
Set up and take down equipment as needed, such as computers, printers, projectorsβ¦
Perform emerging IT related duties as needed
Perform non-IT duties as assigned that are related to the operation of the airport
Position Requirements
Must live in or be willing to relocate to St. Clair County within 6 months of employment
CompTIA Security+ Certification
College degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience supporting a Cisco computer network
Advanced knowledge of network design and configuration of various Cisco devices is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft systems and firewalls are desirable
Strong familiarity with control models and system security
Strong understanding of system working frameworks (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Attention to detail and strong ability to detect network issues quickly
Capacity to work independently or with little supervision
Must be able to successfully complete 10-year background check and TSA required training.
Ability to lift 25lbs
