Nova Talent is on the lookout for an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients Finance Team, on a Fixed Term Contract until December 2026. Based in Nottingham, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a forward thinking, well establish company within the Agricultural Industry.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • To produce the monthly accounts for the business, reconciliations, creation and calculation of financial journal entries, utilising the company system and excel.
  • Preparation of balance sheet budget and expenses to deliver to the Senior Financial Accountant and Finance Director.
  • Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts, via completion of the management accounts.
  • Forecasting/Reforecasting and control of company cash flow.
  • Preparation, submission and payment of VAT Returns.
  • Preparation and submission of Intrastat and EC Sales List reports.
  • Calculation of estimated Corporation Tax and submission of Financial Data to provide for external tax advisors.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly information as required to parent company, including group balances, creditor or debtor balances, expense information.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally either fully or part-qualified, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Experience of making decisions with minimal supervision.
  • IT Literate/PC Skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation relating to court procedures and insolvency essential.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach, highly organised and effective time management skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, eg PivotTables and Vlookups.
