Litigation Paralegal

Are you an experienced Litigation Paralegal seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a dynamic debt collection business based in Hertford, is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join their team. This Litigation Paralegal role offers a competitive salary of up to £40k, with office-based hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will manage your own caseload while providing vital support to senior case handlers. Your duties will include:

• Handling defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters related to residential property.
• Reviewing claims, assessing defences and counterclaims, and advising clients and agents.
• Addressing breach of covenant matters and progressing cases as instructed.
• Complying with court and tribunal deadlines.
• Offering timely general landlord and tenant advice to clients.
• Ensuring effective case management, including updating databases and diarising key dates.
• Maintaining regular communication and reporting to clients and agents.
• Providing internal advice as required.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Skills and Qualifications Required for a Litigation Paralegal
To excel in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in civil litigation and property litigation.
• Strong legal drafting skills and the ability to manage caseloads independently.
• A high level of organisation and attention to detail.
• A law degree or equivalent qualification.
• Specific expertise in defending service charges or ground rent cases.
