Position Overview

This is a hands-on IT role supporting a full-service hotel operation. You will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day technology across the property, ensuring systems are reliable and issues are resolved quickly and properly.

The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, good judgment, and the ability to operate independently. As you build familiarity with the environment, you will take on increasing responsibility across systems and infrastructure.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide real-time technical support across all hotel operations
  • Support and maintain all in-room guest technology systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues end-to-end
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Support core systems, including servers, networks, and cloud-based platforms
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Assist with system upgrades, rollouts, and IT initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and asset inventory
  • Support conference room and AV systems for meetings and events
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners as needed
  • Take ownership of systems and follow issues through to resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the hotel’s operations


Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of IT support experience in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across hardware, software, and network-related issues, with the ability to independently isolate and resolve root causes
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, wireless, and basic firewall concepts
  • Working knowledge of network architecture and how systems interact across a distributed environment
  • Hands-on experience working within virtualized environments (VM provisioning, resource allocation, snapshots, and basic performance troubleshooting)
  • Experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments in a business setting
  • Proficiency with modern workplace platforms (email, collaboration tools, file systems)
  • Experience with remote access tools and VPN connectivity
  • Familiarity with directory services and user access management (users, groups, permissions)
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and endpoint management platforms
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to maintain organized systems



Operational Coverage

  • As a 24/7 operation, this role includes on-call support and timely response to critical, guest-facing issues, with strong judgment and prioritization


Additional Requirements

  • On-site role in Santa Monica
  • Typical schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Flexibility to support after-hours needs when required.
