Summary: 

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees and end-users, ensuring efficient operation and use of organizational technology systems. This role includes resolving hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and maintaining system performance while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Provide remote support and troubleshooting across multiple time zones to ensure seamless operations for all teams and users.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot errors to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform regular updates and patches on operating systems and software.
• Assist employees with login, access, and connectivity matters, including setting up accounts and permissions during onboarding and ensuring proper access removal during offboarding.
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on technology tools and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, solutions, and system changes, ensuring records are available for training and knowledge sharing to improve troubleshooting and user support.
• Track and report recurring issues to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.

 Key Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
• Three (3) years of experience combined with relevant certifications.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows/Mac, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common software applications.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN) and hardware.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proven experience as IT Support or other customer support role
• Tech-savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
• Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented and even-tempered
