INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPORT SPECIALIST 


Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a IT Support Specialist. This position is full-time, within the IT Department, working at 166 Barton, but must be able to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to ticket requests for IT support in a timely and efficient manner
  • Triage incoming help desk tickets and escalate issues as needed
  • Accurately document actions taken to resolve tickets in the help desk system
  • Assist troubleshooting and ensure all computer software is up to date
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support 
  • Assist with IT construction projects as needed (i.e. low voltage wiring)
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on IT resources
  • Direct contact for internal systems communication such as internal email/calendar/phone extensions list
  • Support in areas such as cybersecurity and systems administration 
  • Proactively troubleshooting problems and developing solutions 
  • Provide basic technical support at the network level: User setup and configuration, connectivity, printing, email, etc. 
  • Support end-user training as needed
  • Communicate with internal customers to keep stakeholders informed of incident progress
  • Support designing and facilitation of reporting for JRCHC programs to assist with measuring effectiveness 
  • Available off hours for system maintenance and upgrades 
  • Organize IT related records and other items/inventory
  • Actively contribute to meaningful projects and tasks while working closely with the Senior IT Support Specialist 
  • Support problem solving of software and hardware computer issues throughout the organization
  • Assist in outreach support activities
  • Actively participates in cross-functional projects to support JRCHC operations while demonstrating the ability to work as a team member
  • Actively contribute to meaningful projects and tasks while working closely with the Senior IT Support Specialist
  • Collaborate with members of ticketing system to monitor efficiency of system, run reports, and collaborate on additions as needed

 

Qualifications:                   

  • AAS, BA in Computer Sciences, IT, or related discipline
  • Ability to use good judgment, good customer service and work under pressure in consistently evolving projects while maintaining flexibility 
  • Electronic Medical Records experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred 

 

Rate: $18.50 an hour. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
