What You’ll Do:

  • Be the First Line of Support: Respond promptly to user queries via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot with Expertise: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provide Hands-On Assistance: Offer both on-site and remote support to users facing IT challenges.
  • Manage Systems Efficiently: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Ensure Secure Access: Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Maintain System Health: Perform regular maintenance on computer systems, servers, and networks.
  • Monitor Network Performance: Oversee network performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Enhance Security Measures: Assist with network security measures and firewall configurations.
  • Support Connectivity: Manage and troubleshoot wireless networks and VPN connections.
  • Manage Software Applications: Install, update, and configure software applications.
  • Ensure Software Compliance: Assist in managing software licenses and ensuring compliance.
  • Assist with Data Management: Ensure regular and secure data backups; assist with data recovery when necessary.
  • Implement Disaster Recovery Plans: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
  • Provide Staff Training: Offer guidance and training to staff on best practices and usage of various software and systems.
  • Document Solutions: Document solutions, processes, and troubleshooting steps to create a knowledge base for the team and users.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with organisational policies and industry regulations.
  • Apply Security Updates: Apply security patches and updates to systems to protect against cyber threats.
  • Assist with Incident Response: Monitor for potential security vulnerabilities and assist with incident response.

About You:

  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft 365.
  • Networking Knowledge: Proficient in IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated patience and a helpful attitude in user interactions.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical users.
  • Organisational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Security Awareness: Familiarity with IT security practices and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in all aspects of work.
  • Data Management: Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Ticketing Systems Proficiency: Efficient use of IT ticketing and documentation systems.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to travel to our regional offices on occasion.
