Human Resources Support Specialist

SSU is recruiting for a Human Resources Support Specialist to provide clerical support to the 160th Signal Brigade. This requirement is for the full-time services of one (1) Human Resources Support Specialist in Arifjan, Kuwait to collect and provide information to the Brigade and Battalion S-1 Offices for personnel in the Brigade and Battalion.

Clearance Requirement: SECRET is REQUIRED
Minimum Qualifications:
• Proficiency in word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Familiarity with Department of the Army HR personnel systems.
• Knowledge of PERSTEMPO regulations and the ability to effectively track them.
• Expertise in the proper Military Awards process.
• Mastery of the proper Evaluation process.
• Understanding and competence in the proper personnel actions request process.
• Skill in Records Management, including familiarity with ARIMS (Army Records Information Management System).
• Proficiency in E/MILPO transaction submission, error correction, and the ability to interpret numerous reports.
• Experience in Strength Management within a military context.
• Knowledge of the DTAS "three-tiered" architecture, including the Enterprise Database, the Theater Database, and the Mobile System.
• Competence in the proper management of leave and pass requests, as well as financial actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain Personnel Tempo (PERSTEMPO) data in accordance with established thresholds. Provide daily advisement to the Brigade and Battalion Commander regarding trends and recommendations for corrective actions within the commands and associated companies.
• Prepare military awards, including completion of necessary forms and certifications. Review awards recommendations submitted by the companies for accuracy.
• Prepare the unit-level portion of evaluations based on provided narratives.
• Process leave and pay actions efficiently.
• Prepare and process essential personnel actions.
• Fulfill unit-level mail clerk duties.
• Perform general administration tasks, such as correspondence preparation and filing.
• Process unit personnel accountability reports and notices on a daily basis.
• Process the Personnel Asset Inventory (PAI) in compliance with current EMILPO Functional Guidance.
• Analyze officer and enlisted personnel manning status using the Unit Manning Report (UMR) and ensure timely and accurate submission of E/MILPO transactions on a daily basis.
• Generate the non-deployable report on a monthly basis and provide daily monitoring.
• Perform daily reconciliation and updates in DTAS and submit various reports to higher headquarters In Accordance With (IAW) established suspense dates. This includes accountability by day, name, location, and unit.
• Ensure the following DTAS objectives are met: improving data quality, establishing a common picture, and perpetuating deployed personnel accountability.
• Conduct Soldier in and out-processing, which includes processing levy packets and generating Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders.
• Process reassignment documents, including deletion, deferment, and diversion actions. Publish Temporary Change of Status (TCS) orders, monitor enlisted PCS reassignment "no shows," process reassignment notices or forward them to the Battalion, and handle levy packets and documents needed to produce PCS orders.
• Review and update Soldier records, such as iPerms and Soldier Record Briefs, for accuracy, and assist with corrections as needed.
• Process Soldier financial requests and actions to ensure correct entitlements and pay.
• Establish and maintain records in accordance with ARIMS.
• Provide Enlisted Personnel Promotion Processing at the Brigade and Battalion levels, which includes reviewing PV2-SPC/CPL advancements, processing SGT and SSG promotions, handling reevaluations, and processing Exceptions to Policy.
