Qualifications
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) required
- HR management or banking training recommended
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a human resources role
- Experience with HCM systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Payroll processing experience (collaborating with Bank Controller)
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in managing the full employee life cycle
- Preferred: Banking operations knowledge and supervisory experience
Core Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage daily HR functions to ensure fair employment practices
- Maintain and administer HCM system and electronic personnel records
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and regulations (EEO, BSA, CRA, etc.)
- Serve as the Bank’s EEO Coordinator and compliance lead for HR policies
- Respond to employee concerns and ensure workplace conduct compliance
Employee Lifecycle & Talent Management
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Write and maintain job descriptions; monitor compensation equity
- Coordinate performance evaluations and provide manager coaching
- Lead employee communications related to HR and benefits programs
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefits and health plans
- Resolve benefit-related issues and coordinate with insurance providers
- Manage leave programs (FMLA, disability, paid leave) and open enrollment
- Conduct benefit vendor due diligence and required reporting
Strategic Support & Communication
- Support budget planning and goal alignment with HR strategy
- Generate periodic HR reports for the CEO and executive team
- Liaise with management across divisions to integrate HR initiatives
- Represent the Bank in community or public-facing HR activities
Ancillary Duties
- Support organizational safety, risk management, and soundness initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of core HR functions
