NEOGEN JOB ADVERT – HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (LEXINGTON, KY)
The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in delivering effective HR support to on-site leadership and employees within a manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to be hands-on in all facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and strategic HR partnership. Acting as a key liaison between employees, management, and the broader HR function, this role contributes directly to creating a positive and productive workplace culture aligned with Neogen’s mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic business partner to site leadership, aligning HR practices with manufacturing operations to support business goals.
Provide day-to-day guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR policies, practices, and procedures.
Coordinate with divisional and corporate HR to implement company-wide policies and meet key project deadlines.
Lead on-site talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate employee offboarding, including exit interviews.
Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and termination procedures in accordance with company policy.
Support on-site workplace safety initiatives, including accident investigations and documentation.
Coordinate employee leave programs such as FMLA, LOA, and Workers’ Compensation, ensuring compliance and communication.
Partner with operations and HR leadership to develop programs that support employee engagement and retention.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Skilled in conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and problem-solving.
Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
