The Position:
We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to join our growing team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance and IT teams to optimize and maintain the organization's financial systems, ensuring data integrity and efficient financial reporting. This role is critical in supporting the finance department's goals by leveraging technology to improve financial processes, analysis, and decision-making. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Accounting and FP&A teams with needs related to systems configuration and functionality, reporting and data analysis. This role requires a strong working knowledge of procurement, accounting, and FP&A, along with knowledge of current tools and techniques, systems such as D365, Blackline, Coupa, Workday, and Concur, and significant experience with accounting related processes.
Responsibilities:
Identify and manage business needs through service tickets and facilitated sessions.
Update existing dashboard and reports and create new reports that will translate data as required to support Finance requests
Identify deficiencies or non-compliance with the controls framework • Manage Workflow in each accounting related system ensuring that routes are setup properly and designates are properly managed
Manage the relationship with IT to ensure appropriate systems and technology are leveraged, that actions are delivered in a timely manner and that there is effective communication flow.
Create uploads into D365 and other systems that will increase effectiveness and support both short-term and long-term needs.
Ensure a solid Data Governance exists and that reports, interfaces and data translations respect that Governance model.
Participate in systems implementation teams ensuring that functions meet accounting needs and align with existing systems and data models. • Perform data analysis, as assigned or needed to support needs of internal customers.
Represent Finance and Accounting in IT support reviews and lead efforts to approve specifications and system testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus).
At least 4 years of experience with Accounting related, end to end process and integrations.
4 years experience with reporting and representation tools with Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau strongly desired.
Strong knowledge of data structures, interface parameters, and data presentation techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Critical thinking skills are critical to this role.
