Finance Systems Accountant

Job Description

Phipps Cameron are representing a private equity backed international financial & business service organisaton who have already gone through rapid growth via acquisition. Following several deals, the business is now consolidating multiple legacy finance and billing systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NavOne) as part of a wider post-merger integration.

They need an experienced finance systems and data migration specialist to lead the transition of financial and billing data—ensuring accuracy, business continuity, and strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration from legacy systems into MS Dynamics 365 Business Central (NavOne), including:

  • Financial Management modules: GL, AP, AR, reporting

  • Time recording & billing modules

• Perform detailed analysis of source systems and NavOne data structures

• Build and validate data mappings and transformation logic

• Lead data extraction, cleansing, preparation, and import activities

• Liaise with acquisition teams, finance leaders, and technology partners to gather requirements and resolve issues

• Run reconciliation and validation processes to ensure data integrity post-migration

• Document data mapping, migration processes, and testing for audit and compliance

• Support integration testing, go-live cutover, and post-migration stabilisation

Key Experience Required

✔ Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)—strong grasp of finance processes and controls
✔ Hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central migrations—NavOne exposure a strong plus
✔ Proven track record of supporting finance systems integration within a PE-backed environment
✔ Experienced in post-acquisition system migrations and integrations, ideally across multi-entity, international businesses
✔ Strong understanding of financial data, billing processes, and reporting structures
✔ Comfortable working with IT teams, finance teams, and acquisition stakeholders in a fast-paced transformation
✔ Hands-on approach—able to build mapping logic, troubleshoot data issues, and drive delivery
