BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for managing three main disciplines; employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition across ESD. Director will analyze and improve processes and organization-wide efforts in attracting and retaining high-performing employees through best practices in talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. The ability to work on-site to address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment is essential to this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level required: BA in human resources, psychology or related discipline preferred; Or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience and HR certification (e.g. HRCI, SHRM), ten years direct relevant experience can be substituted for degree requirement, public sector experience a plus.
Experience required: Minimum 5 years in at least two of the following: talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Experience with full cycle investigations from intake to written findings. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.
Knowledge required: Must be adaptable and have an ability to foster a collaborative environment and respect the perspective, recommendations, and opinion of others. Articulate complex information through clear, concise and compelling recommendations; exhibit strong attention to detail, independent judgment and critical thinking. Must be able to manage highly sensitive and confidential communications with discretion and integrity. Must be comfortable working under pressure with limited supervision and sound independent judgment. Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion firmness and collaboration in dealing with individuals at all levels.
