We’re hiring a detailed-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate cost control, financial planning, and analysis to support our business operations based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis for manufacturing and construction projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
  • Project Costing: Track and report on project costs, comparing actual costs to budgeted costs, and providing variance analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports related to cost accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost accounting data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, production teams, and other departments to gather necessary information and provide financial insights.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. 

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing and construction industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
