We’re hiring a detailed-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate cost control, financial planning, and analysis to support our business operations based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis for manufacturing and construction projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
- Project Costing: Track and report on project costs, comparing actual costs to budgeted costs, and providing variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports related to cost accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost accounting data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, production teams, and other departments to gather necessary information and provide financial insights.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing and construction industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
