Position Overview
As a Civil Construction Full Desk Recruiter at Alquemy, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Construction Services division. This is a 360-degree recruitment role, responsible for both client development and candidate sourcing, with a focus on civil construction roles such as Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, and other key positions within the industry. You will leverage your industry expertise and network to build strong client relationships, identify and engage top talent, and ensure a seamless hiring process that meets both client and candidate needs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Development & Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in the civil construction sector.
- Understand client needs, project timelines, and staffing requirements to provide customized recruitment solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and fees, ensuring alignment with Alquemy's business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor, delivering market insights and strategic hiring guidance to clients.
Candidate Sourcing & Recruitment:
- Proactively source, screen, and engage qualified candidates for civil construction roles, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding coordination.
- Build and maintain a network of construction professionals to support ongoing recruitment needs.
Market & Industry Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor activities within the civil construction sector.
- Leverage industry knowledge to advise clients and candidates, positioning Alquemy as an expert in the construction recruitment market.
Collaboration & Team Engagement:
- Collaborate with Alquemy’s geographically dispersed team to deliver exceptional recruitment solutions across Western Canada.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and share best practices with colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of recruitment experience in the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction roles preferred.
- Proven success in a full desk recruitment role, including business development and candidate placement.
- Strong understanding of civil construction projects, job functions, and industry dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with recruitment tools and ATS systems (experience with Tracker ATS is a plus).
- A network of civil construction professionals in Western Canada is highly desirable.
