This role is a critical part of our Human Resources team, focused on ensuring our employees have access to comprehensive and competitive benefits packages. The Benefits Analyst will play a key role in the administration, analysis, and communication of our benefits programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of benefits principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our employees.
Analyze and interpret benefits data: Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements.
Develop and maintain benefits policies and procedures: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
Administer benefits programs: Process enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Communicate benefits information to employees: Develop and deliver clear and concise presentations, written materials, and online resources to educate employees on benefits options.
Conduct benefits audits: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Research and evaluate new benefits programs: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to recommend new or enhanced benefits offerings.
Collaborate with HR team members: Work closely with other HR professionals to ensure seamless integration of benefits programs with other HR initiatives.
Manage vendor relationships: Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Prepare reports and presentations: Summarize key findings, present recommendations, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related field.
Thorough knowledge of benefits principles and practices.
Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Experience with benefits plan design and implementation.
Experience with vendor management.
Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
