The Department of Transportation Services is looking for a Transportation Facilities Compliance Officer (Planner VII) to lead the day-to-day management of the Rail Facilities Management & Maintenance Branch including performance management. This position develops, implements, and monitors strategies to ensure rail operations and maintenance work is completed, contractual requirements are fulfilled, and Key Performance indicators are achieved through effective leadership, optimal resource allocation, performance management, and continuous improvement.
As a Transportation Planning-Facilities (Planner VII), your duties and responsibilities will include:- Managing the rail facilities maintenance functions of the rail service to ensure the system operates at maximum efficiency.
- Managing the processes and resources to meet the requirements of rail service (e.g. elevators, escalators, station cleanliness, grounds maintenance, and environmental).
- Reviewing and commenting on all design criteria and submittals for rail facilities, elevators & escalators, and non-revenue vehicles and coordinate all activities directly or indirectly involving the Contractor.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with specialization in city planning, architecture, engineering, economics, sociology, public administration or a related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of professional work experience in transportation planning and/or engineering projects, one of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, which shall have involved facility planning related to transportation or industrial activities.Examination Process
