Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researching inquiries on payments, credit cards, and disputes.
  • Assisting in compiling bills and posting payments for Receivables.
  • Obtaining statements and the Payables process.
  • Review, reconcile, and process credit card vouchers and advance deposits.  
  • Monitor and audit gift certificate and incentive award redemption activity.
  • Reconciling miscellaneous A/R accounts.
  • Assisting in pulling month end reports.
  • Maintaining agreements and certificate of insurance, plus conducting data entry.
  • Assisting in coordination of administrative functions such as clerical duties and answering phone calls.
  • Respond to and/or solve questions, issues, or disputes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, protect the privacy and security of guests and employees.
  • Assisting in specialized projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) process
  • Manage chargebacks
  • Respond to guest billing questions
  • Reconcile tax exempt transactions
  • Manage guest ledger, city ledger, and advance deposit ledger
  • Perform general cashier duties

Preferred Experience:

Proficiency in FSMPS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), BirchStreet, Profit Sword, and Ottimate.  Two - Three years hotel accounting experience.  The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.  Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are also required.
