Sr. Business Systems Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst analyzes different business areas to determine process improvement, automation needs and opportunities.

Education and experience requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as Business Systems Analyst including requirements gathering, technical writing, functional specification, and analytics. 
• 3 years of proven experience in project management required. 
• 3 years of experience of leading change and training initiatives while implementing technical solutions. 
• Laboratory operations or health sciences industry preferred
• Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration and Computer Systems or other related field.
• Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Prefer to have Microsoft CRM experience.

Essential job functions:

• Lead requirements gathering sessions. 
• Define and document timelines. 
• Follow defined process methodology. 
• Ensure requirements completeness and traceability. 
• Perform analysis on business area and automation applicability. 
• Contact for business users when system issues arise. 
• Follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.). 
• Know and follow company policies and procedures. 
• Complete required training on time. 
• Review / approve business analysis estimates. 
• Trains and mentor’s other IT Business Analysts 
• Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. 
• IT project lead on business projects.
• Lead the maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and implementing new software and hardware programs. 
• Provides information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. 
• Prepares and delivers presentations for a variety of audiences in a clear, organized, and understanding manner. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Physical requirements:

Must be able to sit at a desk on a computer for 90% of the day and 10% standing or walking around the lab.
