Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function in multiple entities and ERPs, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and contributing to the strategic financial planning of the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), have a proven track record in managing accounting operations, and be adept at leading and motivating a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries in multiple ERP systems ensuring entries are accurate with proper support.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in multiple ERP systems ensuring the general ledger is accurate and properly stated.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data, explain variances, and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Stay current on accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and calculate foreign currency revaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in managing accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with high transactional volume.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems/entities and consolidation.
  • Experience with Vena Solutions
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience with external auditing.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives.
