Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant - Harrisburg, PAThe Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting and analysis duties supporting the Corporate Accounting Department’s responsibility for ensuring integrity of the General Ledger of the company in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Accounting and reconciliation of a variety of general ledger accounts to support the Balance Sheet primarily include:
  • Intercompany confirmations and reporting
  • Monthly reconciliation of cash accounts and responsible for daily upload of cash transactions into SAP
  • Preparation of various government reports
  • SG&A variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in support of the month-end closing process
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Preparation of product line P&L’s
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly GAAP FS for both Canada and the U.S
  • Provide support for Interim testing and the Annual Financial Statement audit
  • Provide support for Internal audits
  • Perform special projects and assignments as necessary

Education

• BS/BA Accounting or Finance

Work Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• CPA/MBA a plus, but not required
• SAP experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
