Act as the primary operational owner for Workday within Volaris, in partnership with the central HR technology team.
Proactively identify system improvement opportunities and develop business cases and requirements for enhancements.
Lead configuration changes, enhancements, and releases through established central governance processes.
Ensure system design supports scalability, global requirements, and evolving business needs.
Lead HR systems-related projects from intake through delivery, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and adoption.
Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to translate operational and strategic needs into system solutions.
Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and communications for HR technology initiatives.
Own the development of advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business decision-making.
Partner with Finance and leadership to deliver insight-driven people analytics, not just transactional reporting.
Define and maintain key HR data models, metrics, and reporting standards.
Support the implementation of analytics tools and data pipelines as part of Volaris’ investment in people analytics.
Identify opportunities to automate HR processes and workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.
Support pilot initiatives and use cases leveraging AI for reporting, insights, and operational improvements in HR systems.
Partner with central and IT teams to assess and implement emerging HR technology capabilities.
Establish and maintain strong HR data governance practices, including audits, controls, and data standards.
Ensure ongoing data quality, accuracy, and compliance across HR systems.
Act as a subject matter expert for HR data definitions and system usage.
Lead user acceptance testing for upgrades, new functionality, and enhancements.
Develop and deliver enablement and training focused on adoption of new capabilities and improved system usage.
Provide escalation-level support for complex issues (not day-to-day helpdesk support).
5+ years of hands-on HRIS experience, with Workday strongly preferred.
Proven experience owning and enhancing HR systems in partnership with central or shared service teams.
Strong project management capability with a track record of delivering system and analytics initiatives.
Advanced HR reporting and analytics experience (Workday reporting and/or BI tools).
Ability to operate independently, prioritize work, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
Strong stakeholder management and requirements translation skills.
Experience with people analytics, workforce planning, or advanced HR dashboards.
Exposure to automation, workflow optimization, or AI-enabled reporting or insights.
Experience supporting global, multi-entity organizations.
Familiarity with system integrations and data architecture concepts.
