Senior Financial Analyst

StaffBuffalo is excited to partner with a rapidly expanding international manufacturing company to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for their North American headquarters in Amherst, NY. This hybrid position offers a competitive salary of $70,000–$85,000/year, depending on experience, and a chance to step into a high-visibility role where your expertise will directly influence operational and strategic decisions.

As part of a lean and collaborative finance team, you’ll play a vital role in streamlining internal processes, enhancing cost visibility, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive the company’s operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance and cost analysis, along with advanced Excel and Power BI skills to improve data visibility and reporting speed. You should be excited about working closely with senior leadership, comfortable managing competing priorities, and confident navigating ERP systems during a period of growth and transformation.

This is a hybrid position in the WNY area.  

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate costs, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Help optimize financial processes within a new ERP system and ensure system accuracy
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning
  • Maintain and enhance cost accounting and inventory analysis
  • Analyze capital investments and support decision-making with ROI modeling
  • Prepare and file various tax returns (e.g., sales/use, corporate income)
  • Support internal controls, compliance processes, and external audits
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Perform ad-hoc financial projects and reporting for leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus
  • 2+ years of financial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial software/ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting practices
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present financial data clearly and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
