Summary
This position provides comprehensive finance and accounting support in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include hands-on cost accounting, general ledger management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and fixed asset management. The role is critical in partnering with site leadership to deliver valuable financial insights and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain entries in the general ledger.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Manage fixed asset transactions, depreciation, and capital equipment budgets.
- Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of forecasts, sales revenue, cost reports, and departmental budgets.
- Conduct quarterly SOX compliance audits.
- Provide financial analysis, recommend solutions, and contribute to strategic financial planning.
- Serve as a mentor for junior team members and function as a backup in the absence of finance management.
Requirements
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and fixed asset management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Direct experience in manufacturing processes, preferably electronics or PCB.
Nice-to-Have:
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance.
