LOCATION

Moorpark, CA, onsite role with limited travel to other sites based on business needs, primarily Fremont, CA.


ROLE

The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the primary business systems leader for the Moorpark site and acts as a strategic partner to Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional leaders. The role is responsible for driving business performance through technology, process optimization, data analysis, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.


This position serves as the site's subject matter expert for SYSPRO ERP and related business applications, leading business requirements gathering, solution design, implementation activities, user adoption, and ongoing system optimization. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, data integrity, and business performance through effective use of technology.


In addition to business systems ownership, the role serves as the primary onsite technology resource for the Moorpark facility, providing local IT support and coordinating infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user technology activities with corporate IT teams and external partners.


The position requires a combination of business acumen, technical expertise, project leadership, and strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive change across multiple functions without direct authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business systems, ERP administration, business analysis, information systems, or related technology roles
  • Experience supporting and administering ERP systems, preferably SYSPRO
  • Experience leading business process improvement initiatives and system implementation projects
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical technology solutions
  • Manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, photonics, or engineered products industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Systems Leadership

  • Serve as the primary site owner and subject matter expert for SYSPRO ERP and associated business applications
  • Lead analysis of business requirements and develop effective systems solutions that support operational and strategic objectives
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, standardization, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and performance
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, business requirements documentation, process maps, and technical documentation
  • Drive adoption of enterprise business systems standards while balancing local      operational requirements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders regarding technology      capabilities, risks, opportunities, and best practices
  • Support data governance initiatives and promote data accuracy, integrity, and      consistency across business systems
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for system enhancements and technology      investments

ERP Administration & Continuous Improvement

  • Support, maintain, and optimize the SYSPRO ERP platform and related business applications
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex business systems issues
  • Manage system configurations, enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and deployments
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and implementation planning
  • Deliver training programs and support user adoption of new technologies and business processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve business performance
  • Monitor system performance and proactively recommend enhancements to improve functionality and user experience

Project Leadership

  • Lead business systems projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Define project scope, requirements, deliverables, timelines, risks, and resource needs
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors throughout project lifecycles
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing operational support responsibilities
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and outcomes to leadership teams
  • Support organizational change management efforts associated with system implementations and process transformations

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Partner with functional leaders to develop meaningful reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support data-driven decision-making through effective reporting and analysis tools
  • Promote consistent use of business data and reporting standards across functions

Site IT Support & Infrastructure

  • Serve as the primary onsite technology support resource for the Moorpark facility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral-related issues
  • Support workstation deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Coordinate user onboarding, offboarding, and system access requests
  • Support printers, scanners, conference room technology, routers, switches, and other peripheral equipment
  • Coordinate with corporate IT resources and external vendors to resolve escalated infrastructure issues
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint protection, patching, software deployment, and compliance activities
  • Maintain local technology asset inventories and related documentation
  • Support Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and related technologies
  • Educate users on system functionality, security best practices, and company IT policies
