What You Will Contribute:
 

Major Job Duties/Accountability:

 
-    Performs accounting and financial analysis directly relating to domestic activity and indirectly to the international subsidiaries. Position requires an ongoing awareness of current developments in the accounting profession and applicable government regulations.

-    Responsible for the management, reconciliation and reporting of complex accruals such as equity share based compensation, warranty, software as a service deferred revenue or others as appropriate.

-    Formulate and post a wide array of journal entries, perform general ledger maintenance, completion of various account analyses, and completing a variety of reports and schedules for external auditors.

-    Assists in the preparation and posting of journal entries related to acquisitions, liquidations and consolidations, as appropriate.

-    Reports directly to the Accounting Manager, who in turn reports to the Director of Accounting & External Reporting. An aptitude for detail, sound judgement and analytical skills are necessary along with good communication and human relation skills.

-    Assists the Accounting Manager to formulate, implement, modify, and maintain procedures, policies, and systems which ensure the accurate, timely, verifiable, and efficient accumulation, recording, balancing, reconciling and regulations, management objectives, and sound internal controls.

-    Provides assistance, as needed, to other Accounting personnel in such areas as accounts payable, fixed assets, sales tax, invoicing, expense reports, payment entries into the banking system, customs and other account analysis.

-    Collaborate with the team to solve problems and ensure procedures are aligned with internal controls.

-    Responsible for performing closing activities consisting of all journal entries and other documentation to ensure a timely and accurate financial closing per current Standard Operating Procedures and Section 404/SOX requirements.

-    Aids in the development and refinement of improved systems and procedures for the Accounting Department and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of related accounting and / or auditing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Specialization in Accounting (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Related International experience preferred
  • CPA highly preferred
