We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including job scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of seven plumbers and administrative staff. Conduct performance reviews, provide training to new hires, and foster a safe, productive work environment.
- Customer Relations: Address escalated customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring high satisfaction and building strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
- Scheduling and Logistics: Coordinate job schedules for employees, ensuring efficient use of staff and resources while meeting client deadlines.
- Vendor and Inventory Management: Negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory of materials, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Business Development: Work with the owner to identify growth opportunities, expand service offerings, and enhance brand visibility through effective marketing and sales strategies.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including plumbing codes and workplace safety standards. Maintain proper licensing and certifications for the company and staff.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the owner on operational performance, financial metrics, marketing and sales results, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in the plumbing, HVAC, or a related trade industry.
- Bachelorβs degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in trade industries considered.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling and resource management.
- Knowledge of plumbing industry practices, codes, and regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Plumbing or trade-related certifications (e.g., Master Plumber license) are highly desired but not mandatory.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and growth.
