We are currently searching for a Network Engineer JR:
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor ticket management, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Track and follow up on vendor service tickets and deliveries based on defined SLAs.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of vendor test results and Turn Over Packages (TOP).
- Maintain and update critical system records, including install dates, acceptance status, and Physical Circuit IDs.
- Update system records to ensure accurate billing processes and circuit documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate vendor risks or delivery delays identified through the ticketing system.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in the Telecommunications or Networking industry.
- Experience managing vendor-related tickets or technical support desks within an office environment.
- Strong understanding of OSI Layer 1 (Physical) and Layer 2 (Data Link) troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous ticket requests and meet short timelines.
- Must possess a Professional Title and "Cédula Profesional" (Mandatory for TN Visa processing).
- High-Performance Mindset: Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.
- Technologist DNA: A deep understanding of the difference between "coding" and "engineering."
Principal Skills:
- LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing & switching
- Firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN
- Data center & cloud networking basics
- Fiber Optics (testing, splicing, migration)
- DWDM / optical transport fundamentals
Desired
- Technical expertise or basic knowledge of fiber optics technology.
- Familiarity with network path elements (router ports and patch panels) from a documentation perspective.
- Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants.
Languages
- Advanced Oral English: For seamless collaboration with global teams.
- Native Spanish.
