Junior Network Engineer

A confidential technology and infrastructure leader<\/b> is seeking a Junior Network Engineer<\/b> to support mission -critical network and security operations<\/b>. This is a high -visibility position within a secure data environment<\/b>, providing hands -on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and SCADA Telemetry systems<\/b>.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>

• Firewall Operations & Security<\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Provide daily operational support of enterprise firewalls, including configuration, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Manage firewall rules, access policies, and security protocols to maintain network compliance and DataClear standards.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Assist senior engineers with firewall changes and upgrades in a 24/7 mission -critical environment.
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

  • Network Infrastructure Support<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Collaborate with network and systems engineers on the maintenance of switches, routers, and critical network components.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Support SCADA Telemetry systems to ensure high availability and secure communications.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Respond to and resolve incident management tasks quickly and accurately, using tools such as ServiceNow.
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Documentation & Reporting<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, rule changes, and incident resolutions.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Participate in team reviews and contribute to network security process improvements.
        <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

        Required Qualifications<\/b>
        <\/h3>

        • Education:<\/b> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Background in network engineering<\/b> or systems engineering<\/b>, with exposure to enterprise switches and routers.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • DataClear Certification (or equivalent security/compliance credential) required.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Familiarity with firewall management<\/b>, network security best practices, and incident response protocols.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Strong troubleshooting<\/b>, problem -solving, and documentation skills.
