As an IT Support Specialist, you'll be a key player in handling the company's daily IT needs, including ongoing maintenance, asset tracking, and training employees on essential IT functions and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for IT systems and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to on-site and remote users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

  • Monitor the daily performance of computer systems, modifying configurations, utilities, and software default settings as necessary for workstations.

  • Deploy new and replacement equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Guarantee end-user satisfaction, accuracy, and timely completion.

  • Maintain asset tracking records and collaborate with the IT Manager to develop and manage the equipment replacement schedule.

  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

  • Develop training materials and procedures, and train users in the proper use of hardware or software.

  • Stay up-to-date with current desktop and LAN technologies through continuing education, journal reviews, web searches, and formal seminar opportunities.

  • Coordinate network coverage with the IT Manager. Occasional night and/or weekend work may be required.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant technical experience

  • Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)

  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to quicklyΒ learn new computer systems

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Pleasant and professional demeanor in all client and internal communications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, tailored to the needs of the audience

  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to grow within the field of IT

  • Adaptability and the ability to stay current with the latest trends and best practices in technology
