We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist (CMMC Compliance & Systems Administration) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support to end-users while ensuring our systems and operations remain compliant with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and related federal cybersecurity requirements.

This position blends IT systems administration, cybersecurity compliance, and end-user support-ideal for a professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and values both technical excellence and regulatory precision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Systems Support

  • Provide responsive end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

  • Troubleshoot application, printer, and connectivity issues for local and remote users.

  • Maintain and support SharePoint and other Microsoft collaboration platforms.

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain company IT infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.

Cybersecurity & CMMC Compliance

  • Implement and document cybersecurity controls aligned with CMMC and NIST 800-171 frameworks.

  • Conduct periodic cybersecurity posture assessments and report findings to leadership.

  • Develop, update, and execute operational, maintenance, and contingency plans.

  • Draft and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training documentation.

  • Manage compliance documentation and evidence in platforms such as Prevail and FutureFeed.

  • Support incident response, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation efforts.

  • Verify and maintain technical controls, including MFA, endpoint protection, encryption, and patch management.

Administrative & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and configuration documentation.

  • Collaborate across departments to streamline IT and security processes.

  • Assist with internal and external audits related to cybersecurity and compliance.

  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity standards and participate in ongoing professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 5+ years in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a DoD or federal contracting environment.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).

    • Active Directory, Group Policy, and general network troubleshooting.

    • Endpoint protection, patch management, and backup systems.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements.

  • Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent.
