The IT Support Specialist provides first-line technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues. This on-site role is responsible for responding to support requests, assisting with technology setup and maintenance, and helping ensure employees can effectively use company systems and devices. The position is well suited to an early-career IT professional who is eager to learn and develop technical skills in a hands-on support environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to help desk requests via email, phone, or ticketing system
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure and support software and business applications
- Set up and support computers, printers, and other devices
- Assist with user account provisioning and password resets
- Document issues, resolutions, and support activities in the ticketing system
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff as needed
- Support new employee onboarding, including device setup and system access
- Travel to dealership locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, IP addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Working knowledge of computers, operating systems, and common business software applications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize effectively, and meet service expectations
- Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records
- Awareness of IT security best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems
- Experience installing, configuring or troubleshooting hardware and software
- Entry-level IT certification, or progress toward certification.
Wage Range
- $50,000-$60,000 per year
- Placement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications
- Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
