Position Overview: 

Chicago Fire FC is looking for a dedicated and passionate IT Support Specialist. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily upkeep of the Chicago Fire data and telecom networks with an additional focus on providing support on event days.  The IT Support Specialist is responsible for setting up and maintaining end user computer hardware, software, and telecom. The IT Support Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Information Technology

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up client workstations, applications, and phones for Chicago Fire staff
  • Troubleshoot problems with network, peripheral and end-point devices
  • Assist with event execution; responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Pre-event planning and set-up of equipment, audio visual, broadcast, internet connections, etc
    • Assist with technology needs and issues during event
    • Post-event tear-down and cleanup
  • Complete projects supporting the execution plan of the IT Department
  • Implement facility and club rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform administrative duties including data backups, inventory, documentation, research and development of new IT initiatives
  • Assist with Cyber Security initiatives
  • Attend and work various Chicago Fire games and key events
  • Some travel to various offices and events is required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical or support role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 2012 server, Office applications and active directory
  • Experienced with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments
  • Well organized, deadline orientated and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to lift and transport heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, and a positive attitude
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively work with a large and diverse population
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings. This includes all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Knowledge of MAC OS
  • Experience with Cyber Security initiatives
  • Previously worked in a fast-paced or start-up environment

 

Compensation:

  • This role offers a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000
  • Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on, job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as Full-time, exempt
  • This role is bonus eligible based on club-wide goals
