GLFHC is currently seeking an IS Applications Systems Analyst, Jr. to join our team. The IS Application Systems Analyst, Junior supports the Information Services Department by assisting with basic application maintenance, data entry tasks, documentation, and end‑user support. This role helps ensure accurate data capture, consistent workflows, and proper functioning of electronic systems used across the Health Center. Under supervision, the Junior Analyst learns core applications, supports “super users,” troubleshoots routine issues, and contributes to small projects. This role is an entry point into the IS Applications team with an emphasis on learning, accuracy, and dependable support.

  • Assist in monitoring assigned applications to ensure accurate and timely operation.
  • Perform routine testing of small patches, updates, and configuration changes under guidance from senior staff.
  • Document simple EMR/PM steps and maintain reference materials to support system reliability.
  • Support Helpdesk tickets related to user access and basic application issues.
  • Run scheduled reports, verify data accuracy, and escalate discrepancies.
  • Assist with basic data cleanup, validation tasks, and report logging in accordance with data governance guidelines.
  • Learn foundational reporting tools such as Report Builder or Power BI.
  • Provide first‑level assistance to end users with common workflows and navigation questions.
  • Escalate complex issues to mid‑ or senior‑level analysts appropriately.
  • Participate in basic training sessions for staff and super users.
  • Work with Infrastructure, Clinical Informatics, and Business Intelligence teams to understand system dependencies.
  • Participate in application team meetings and software release reviews as a learner.

Qualifications:

  • 0–2 years of experience in healthcare, IT support, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Exposure to EMR systems or healthcare applications preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of databases or reporting tools a plus.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
