HR Operations Generalist

Job Summary: The HR Operations Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the oversight and optimization of HR operations to enhance organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on supporting the management of talent acquisition, benefits administration, compensation strategy, compliance, onboarding, leave management, data analytics, HRIS system data management, and offboarding. The HR Operations Generalist ensures seamless HR processes and compliance with employment laws. This role partners closely with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and programs that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Recruiting:

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the hiring process.
  • Ensure recruiting standards are up-to-date and aligned with company goals.

Benefits Administration Support:

  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and help implement leave policies, including PTO and FMLA in alignment with corporate guidelines.

Compensation Strategy:

  • Assist with developing and managing compensation ranges, incentive structures, merit increases, and parity analysis.

Policy Compliance and Maintenance:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, LOA, ADA, and workers' compensation.
  • Maintain HR policies to support a fair and compliant work environment.

Onboarding:

  • Support the onboarding process including the hiring system, I-9 verification, background checks, and benefits enrollment.

PTO & Leave Management Support:

  • Support the management of PTO and leave policies.

Payroll Support:

  • Support payroll processes.

Data Analytics:

  • Collect, analyze, and report HR data to provide recommendations to leadership.

HRIS System Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate HR records and oversee HRIS systems to streamline processes.

Offboarding:

  • Manage the offboarding process.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Passion for building strong HR operational processes that promote efficiency and growth.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience with HR technology, data analytics, and process automation a plus.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred but not required.
