Windlab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

​About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, month-end and year-end processes, tax reporting, and a variety of other accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, company credit cards, and other ledger accounts
• Assist in managing accounts payable, including invoice processing, purchase order compliance, invoice approvals, and preparing batch payments
• Support the accounts’ receivable function, including customer billing and debtor follow-up
• Review and process staff expense claims
• Contribute to the month-end close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Assist with year-end financial reporting and audits, including journal processing, documentation collation, and audit workbook preparation
• Support indirect tax compliance, including GST and FBT returns
• Administer various finance systems
• Provide support on ad hoc reporting, business returns, and other accounting tasks as required

About You

You will  hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, with a strong desire to pursue CA or CPA qualifications. As a Financial Accountant you will bring demonstrated experience in preparing, analysing, and evaluating financial information, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Key skills include a high level of attention to detail, integrity, and ethical conduct, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will be confident in managing competing priorities, while maintaining excellent communication skills. You will work both independently and collaboratively, uphold confidentiality, and demonstrate a proactive approach to your work.
