This position works with internal and external stakeholders to provide implementation, operation, technical, and development support of the City’s enterprise software applications. 

Examples of Duties

  • Provide application support for the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), enterprise content management, websites, collaboration platforms, and other existing and future enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in on premise and cloud environments, develop business process models, write use cases, design, develop, test, and implement workflows and system integrations using an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), and maintain application user access. 
  • Effectively work on multiple concurrent technology projects.
  • Maintain application data integrity by managing access to the City’s database sources, writing database queries, assembling data from disparate data sources for analysis and reporting, and carrying out processes in accordance with the City’s business continuity, disaster recovery, and security plans.
  • Exceed customer expectations with an unparalleled commitment to excellent customer service. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with application development, implementation, user support, data integrity and security. 
  • Experience applying vendor application and environment patches.
  • Experience in the use and administration of Content Management Systems, Customer Information Technology, Financials, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, and other local government applications. 
  • Knowledge and ability to implement commercial off-the-shelf software applications including testing, training, and functioning as a technical liaison between external service providers and customers. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide exceptional customer service to a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Intermediate skills programming in .Net, Visual Basic, and Python and data analytics and business intelligence.  
  • Intermediate skills related to web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS and integration technologies such as web services and developing integrations using an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and APIs.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented. 
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification or obtain within one year of hire.
  • If selected, successful completion of background investigation (including fingerprinting) and drug screen.
