Forsyth County Management Information Services is seeking a highly motivated, dependable professional technician with exceptional communication, customer service skills and technical skills to work with the Applied Technologies team. The successful candidate will have considerable knowledge of how technology can be integrated into the public sector environment for a variety of applications and purposes. Having the ability to plan and coordinate PC deployments with management guidance, and related tasks will make this position engaging. Diagnosing and solving computer hardware\software issues will ensure that this position is very dynamic with new challenges each day.
Considerable knowledge of computers and related information technology devices.
Considerable knowledge of the software packages utilized.
Ability to communicate effectively with users of varying skill levels.
Ability to work under time constraints and other demands.
Ability to develop and present computer-related training.
Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs. frequently or negligible amounts constantly, requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Graduation from high school or equivalent and three years of relevant experience working with computer systems or technology.
Must have a valid N. C. driver's license.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists users in identifying and resolving system problems.
Assists in maintaining users, user rights and privileges to various software programs.
Monitors system performance and scheduled work processes.
Performs related work as required.
