ABOUT THE JOB

As a computer software analyst, you will be at the core of a tight-knit team, transforming initial concepts into software that is integral to our daily operations. NRS is a dynamic company with diverse business activities ranging from sales and marketing to manufacturing and logistics. Working in our IT department brings new challenges every day and offers a broad range of opportunities to learn by applying technology to a variety of business functions. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate: Partner with diverse teams to meet change and release requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality deliverables by addressing test errors promptly.
  • Best Practices: Advocate for and implement industry best practices in support of NRS customers and colleagues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively optimize processes, embracing automation and continuous integration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports report writing.
  • Ability to read and understand BAQs (Business Activity Queries), BPMs (Business Process Management), and Functions (C#) in Epicor Kinetic.
  • Strong MS SQL (advanced queries, stored procedures, cursors).
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of professional software development life cycle practices.
  • Ability to gather requirements, produce estimates, and design systems.
  • Skilled at writing functional and regression tests.

Communication and Leadership:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) with business users, technical teams, and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and mentor team members.
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Thought leader and change agent.

ERP System Expertise:

  • Knowledge of various ERP products and platforms.
  • Ability to customize and configure ERP components (UIs, Business Processes, Functions, SDK).
  • Familiarity with ERP Administration Tools and Consoles.
  • Experience with ERP-specific solutions (e.g., Tax Management, Shipping and Distribution Modules).
  • Exposure to ERP integration tools and third-party extensions.

Preferred:

    • While we value diverse ERP development experience, familiarity with Epicor Kinetic is highly regarded and beneficial.


WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Experience: 10+ years of applicable experience with demonstrated success.
  • Epicor Kinetic Development: 7+ years of programming experience within Epicor Kinetic.
  • Specialization: 5+ years of specialized/industry experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
