The Client Accountant is responsible for aspects of client billing, budget tracking and agency revenue recognition. This role bridges account/project management and finance, overseeing budgets and serving as the central contact for client billing to ensure timeliness and accuracy. 

• Conduct monthly financial meetings reviewing budgets and determining monthly billing requirements
• Review revenue recognition by brand to verify accuracy and make necessary adjustments
• Optimize reporting tools to produce client invoices and budget reports
• Ensure all contracts are signed by the 15th of the next quarter for revenue recognition
• Review contracts for term, pricing, and start and end dates
• Review accounts receivable (A/R) aging and address outstanding items
• Assist with forecasting as needed
• Create and evaluate internal budget trackers with account/project management
• Evaluate open purchase orders and invoice status with account/project management
• Collaborate with internal teams for audit requests
• Provide month end close reports
• Manage multiple client projects with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
• Assist in miscellaneous ad hoc projects as needed 

• General accounting acumen, including invoicing/billing procedures
• Strong problem solving, decision making and analysis skills
• Financial stewardship to ensure efficient/seamless process with internal and client teams
• Team player, collaborative and proactive
• Detail oriented, ability to catch errors and correct 
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written 

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting/finance a plus
• 2-6 years of experience in a related field and industry
• Experience with Maconomy, Media Ocean, Workfront, or similar software
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook 

At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $70,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
