The Chesterfield County Procurement Department is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to provide technical and project management support for the Procurement Department’s various information systems, including the ERP and e-Procurement systems with an emphasis on quality customer interaction and collaboration with technical and functional staff from various administration, finance, and information technology departments to support enterprise-wide systems for both Chesterfield County and Chesterfield County Public Schools.

  • Tech Guru: Manage, support, and improve our enterprise-wide systems. If there is a tech issue, you will be a go-to person to provide assistance to our team.
  • Problem Solver: Use your tech tools to make our processes smoother and more efficient.
  • Team Player: Work closely with our finance, administration, and IT teams to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Innovator: Perform testing for system fixes, builds, and upgrades to ensure our systems are functioning properly; and if they are not functioning properly, document the issues and work with our IT departments and software providers to resolve them.
  • Support: Assist our team with any tech issues and provide quality Help Desk system support to our Using Department customers.
  • Trainer: Develop and deliver training and job-aids for Procurement and Using Departments.
  • Data Analyst: Use Business Intelligence tools to dig into data and help us make strategic decisions.
  • Customer Service Champ: Consistently deliver top-notch service to everyone you work with.
  • Perform other work as required. 

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business information systems, business administration, or a related field; three years of professional experience supporting information systems, preferably working with Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) and e-Procurement systems; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – you can talk tech to anyone, techie or not.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems on the fly.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Assertive and confident, especially when being challenged.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle whatever comes your way.
  • The ability to make independent decisions and assertively take charge of projects.
  • Great teamwork skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and still maintain a positive and optimistic attitude.

Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
